god's word, spiritual warfare

Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over ALL the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19 [New King James Version]

Now you understand that I have imparted to you My Authority to trample over his kingdom. You will trample upon every demon before you and overcome every power satan possesses. Absolutely nothing will harm you as you WALK IN this authority. Luke 10:19 [The Passion Translation]

Many years ago, Holy Spirit began to highlight Truth from well-known and much-loved Scriptures that somehow I hadn’t “seen” before! His Word took on a brand-new relevance as He taught me the importance of believing and speaking His Word. I realised that king’s reign by their words and learned how the tongue acts as the rudder that changes the course of our lives.

Jesus taught that God’s Word is like seed and the more we speak His Word we give it greater opportunity to take root in our hearts and to produce a harvest of good in our lives. Solomon defined this principle in terms of life or death [is in the tongue], and James described it as blessing or cursing. It’s so important that we consistently speak in harmony with Scripture. In this way we play for “Team Righteousness of God in Christ” and not “team accuser of the brethren.” We must also remember that self-condemnation is just as seriously wrong as is judging or criticizing others!

We are God’s children and His Spirit lives in us! Jesus defeated satan from His Cross and He has given us His Authority to use to maintain His Victory. He WANTS us to speak His Word over our lives in every situation, by speaking His Promises into our hearts. He WANTS to bless us with His Supernatural Shalom Peace, His Joy, His Never-ending Love…
