God Revealed - A Father to His Children

The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him. - Psalms 103:13 (NLT)

Has God changed since the psalmist wrote this? Are things different now? Is He still tender and compassionate? Does God love you?

Yes, something has changed in our understanding of God - the theology of God.

Jesus came with a very different message... "when you pray say 'Our Father...'. We are His children!

"But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you." - Matthew 6:6

Did you see and feel that? "Pray to your Father". How intimate is that? Plus this was Jesus' message to ALL who were listening. Disciples or not. Believers or not.

Jesus revealed a new relationship between God and mankind. The prodigal son and the waiting, seeking, compassionate father. The Father cares for the finest details of our lives.

"Look at the birds... your heavenly Father feeds them." - Matthew 6:26
