Revision
I provide revisions of external German translations. A sample of 3 pages is enough to have an opinion about the general quality.
I qualify a translation as "acceptable" if it requires less than 1 or 1 1/2 corrections per page. My own error quote in translations is 1 correction per 8-10 pages. If more than 3 errors per page are found, I recommend to have it re-checked by the original translator.
If your text is going to print, I recommend a last final full check on PDF. I can mark all issues in the PDF and return it online.
Transcreation
A new name for an old phenomenon: Creative translation instead of word-by-word reproduction. Translators do not convey words or sentences, but messages.
This becomes obvious in advertising and marketing, where texts often deviate considerably from the original text to reach the target group desired. Consumer texts in particular are often honed meticulously to a specific country and target group. Thus I offer transcreation for German people in Germany only, not for Austria or Switzerland.
