Fantasia mourns nephew death continues as she writes, while admiring his smile. She wished him a happy Valentines, calling him an angel now. She urged him to keep dancing while up there, and reminded him that his uncle would soon be able to dance for him down here, after getting over the loss they were experiencing.

Fantasia’s brother, also a singer, together with Washington’s brother posted a letter on Instagram to the departed Washington when paying tribute to his son. It started by addressing his dear son and stating that there was necessity in writing it sooner. On a light note, he mentioned how life made the deceased aware of his own unconscious procrastination. The letter was long and the last few sentences read of not forgetting the how joyful the father was on the son's 18th birthday, after becoming an adult, a man now. The dad wanted to be available for his son every day, and went as far as wondering where he was almost every time. On his demise, he was now greater than his father and would guide and lead his father instead. While he joins his grandma he would continue singing loud up there.

As an aspiring music artist, Washington wanted to follow the footsteps of his father and aunt. It was reported by his father that he had just completed his mixtape before being killed in the shooting.
