The Isley Brothers are one of the longest and most successful musical groups in the United States. It was formed in 1954 as a vocal trio made of three brothers, Rudolph, Kelly, and Ronald. During the years they were inspired by many different musical genres and they recorded various hits in their long career. Some members were added (also members of the family) and the band later consisted of six.

Founded in 1954 in Michigan and initially known as The Domingoes, when it was still under Henry Fambrough, Billy Henderson, Spencer, James Edwards and Pervis Jackson. They lived in public houses of Detroit Gardens before coming together and starting a singing group.

Early in his career, he realized his true talent and became the leader of a famous singing group called Herold Melvin & The Bluenotes.
