However, when the cassette demo "auto-reverse", an eerie silence and incoherent lyric followed. The album producer, Quincy Jones found the composition interesting enough to add into the album. However, Jones asked John Betts to rewrite the lyrics.

In addition, it reached number 3 in the US Billboard Hot Black Singles chart.
